PaaS - Oracle Java Cloud Service

More and more organizations are taking initiatives to train resources in cloud tools and technologies - IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, MCS(Mobile Cloud Service), JCS(Java Cloud Service) etc. To remain competitive in the marketplace we also need to embrace these new technologies and get trained.

As a new comer to this era I was wondering which one to start with. After going through multiple documentations I decided the path should be like this
  1. Java Cloud Service (JCS)
  2. Java Cloud Service - SaaS Extension
  3. Mobile Cloud Service
  4. Dev Ops
Oracle has multiple channels to get insight in these areas. Recently I got certified in Oracle Java Cloud Service Certified Associate.

If you also want to get certified you can follow this sequence
  • Ask for Free Trial. Oracle gives you one month free trial for many of it's cloud products. Click here to request free trial for Java Cloud Service and Java Cloud Service SaaS Extension.
  • Enter your details and submit.
  • It takes 3-4 days to get it approved.
  • Once done activate the trial as per the instruction from Oracle (mentioned in the activation email)
  • Complete the learning detailed here
  • Follow the Tutorials when you start provisioning JCS instance
  • Complete all sections and you are ready for the certification
You can then register and appear for 1Z0-161 - Oracle Java Cloud Service Certified Associate.
If you have hands on experience in Weblogic Server Administration, then this certification will be very easy for you. Others please get basic idea about Oracle Weblogic Server and it's administration features..

So let's start...............................
